Psychotherapy Fee and Logistics

What is your fee?

I charge INR 2,500 for a 50-minute session from Indian residents and between USD 70-120 from non-residents. I offer 60- and 75-minute sessions as well on a pro-rated basis. I hope this figure represents a meaningful contribution you can make towards your personal development.

Where do we meet?

We meet on Zoom Video or my home-clinic in Shivalik, Malviya Nagar, South Delhi

What is your cancelation policy?

We work on a fixed-weekly schedule; all sessions you miss are fully payable.

How soon can I expect results?

In the kind of therapy I practice, we are not just concerned with addressing the ‘problem’ but equally with addressing the psychological characteristics due to which the problem arose in the first place. This is why it may take time for lasting change and I request you to bring patience to this work.

I have many dark things about me or in my past.

I would encourage you to speak as freely as you can about these in psychotherapy, including aspects of your personality that may not be socially acceptable. As long as they don’t breach confidentiality limitations, I am trained and committed to working with you psychotherapeutically.

How do we get started?

We meet for two consultation sessions of 50-60 minutes each to explore the areas that will be the focus of our work, Following the consultation sessions, if we choose to work together, we agree on a meeting cadence. The fee for each each consultation session. is INR 2,500.

Do we meet weekly?

If we choose to work together, we select two weekly slots (e.g., Tuesdays at 3:00 PM) and meet regularly at those slots.

How long do we typically work together?

Our work can be very focused and short-term or it can last for many months, depending on individual goals, issues, and circumstances.

I’m unsure if you work with people like me or the kind of issues I have.

Due to limitations of my training and lack of a hospital setup, I do not work with individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia or with a history of psychotic or manic episodes.

Are sessions confidential?

Sessions are fully confidential with only two exceptions:
1.) Client discloses concrete plans to physically harm themselves or others, in which case I may break confidentiality to ensure safety
2) Client is presently engaging in child or elder abuse, in which case I will be compelled to report them.
